Link: Fun with brands - Jane’s Brand-timeline Portrait

This Jane blogger had the clever idea of exploring how many different brands she interacts with in a single day, then she created a visual time line of that day, and shared it with the world. Very interesting, and something I might try in the near future. I feel like it could have been designed a bit better, but conceptually, it’s fantastic.

Updated Portfolio

Monday, May 26th, 2008

I just added these three logos to my portfolio; completed them over the last few months. As for that third one, I am not running for governor, but my cousin, Chris, is. So if you are a Washington resident, check out Tudor2008.com, and then vote for him.

Futura Made A Bag

Link: Atomic Ring Messenger Bag

Graffiti artist, Futura, has come out with a messenger bag that I am really digging on. It looks to have a fold-top, which made me think that more over-the-shoulder bags should have a roll-top, as opposed to just the backpacks like I see now.

If the atomic rings on this bag look familiar, but you’re not familiar with Futura, let me help you make the connection; Futura was the long haired artist featured in the music video for John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change.”

Also worth noting, is the work Futura did on Lance Armstrong’s Time Trial bike a few years back for the Tour de France. Futura designed the back disc wheel to tell the story of Armstrong’s life through some pretty rad iconography.
